Drinks manufacturer Coca-Cola has announced that it is planning on launching a music download web site in the near future.
The company claims that the service will offer more than a quarter of a million tracks for download from around 8,500 artists. The music download service has been launched following the company's announcement that it is to sponsor the official UK single and album charts.
A spokesperson for Coca-Cola said the company wants to offer consumers a new way to experience music and that the site is supported by the British Phonographic Industry.
The web site can be found at http://www.mycokemusic.com once the service goes live in January 2004.
No pricing information was revealed.
