Windows system tool supplier Sunbelt Software and technology research company Yankee Group have completed a survey showing that the main source of unwanted network intrusions is spam.
When questioned, 82% of all organisations said that they had been hit by spam compared with 74% that they had been hit with a computer virus. A spokesperson for the companies said that the survey shows that spam is starting to become an issue for US organisations.
