Web-based travel reservation systems provider GetThere has completed a survey showing that there are more corporate online bookings than those made by telephone.
Specifically, online bookings accounted for 53% of the total number of bookings made. This, according to the company, shows that businesses are adopting online booking systems for corporate travel plans. GetThere also claims that the survey found that the cost of online bookings were on average 15% lower than those booked over the phone.
The survey polled over 100 large corporations on their business travel booking activities.
