Flight operator Cathay Pacific Airways can now offer its passengers an in-flight e-mail service following agreements made with communications company PCCW NETVIGATOR and Tenzing Communications, an airline messaging systems provider.
The e-mail service will enable passengers on 42 of Cathay Pacific's aircraft to send and receive e-mails via their laptop computers, providing that they first register on the http://www.inflight.netvigator.com web site or have an e-mail address that ends in '@netvigator.com'.
Initially, the service will be free to use in the trial period. Subsequent pricing will be set at USD9.95 per flight and USD0.60 per kilobyte of data sent.
