Predictive and web analytics company SPSS has completed a survey showing that over 30% of all Internet users have never bought anything online.
The company claims that the main reason for this was found to be because there was a lack of choice as almost a fifth of all respondents cited this as one reason they would not shop online. The second most quoted reason for not utilising the Internet to purchase goods with 15% was the complexity involved in navigating web sites while 4% said that they preferred face-to-face contact. Just 2% said that they wanted to see the product first.
The survey polled 1,000 adults that used the Internet.
