Research and consulting firm Strategy Analytics Inc has completed a survey and found that the majority of broadband subscribers in the US would consider switching their account if they spotted a cheaper offer.

Specifically, 68% of all those asked would think about changing their broadband account if another company started up a similar service at 10% to 15% less that what they currently pay. Other results showed that most customers are still using their broadband connection to carry out the same activities as they did with a dial-up connection - e-mail, shopping and online searching.

The survey polled 525 US broadband households throughout May 2003.
