Mobile phone-related Web sites popular with US Internet users

Web sites related to mobile phone features have seen an increase in visitor numbers in the US in recent weeks, according to online competitive intelligence service Hitwise.
During May there has been a 69% increase in the total US visits to sites in the Hitwise Entertainment - Mobile Phones category, and a 95% increase in the number of pages viewed.
The category includes sites that allow mobile phone users to take advantage of features such as text-messaging and downloadable ring-tones, logos and games. The most visited sites in the category are Jippii Club (http://www.jippii.com), Cingular Extras (http://www.cingularextras.com) and Yahoo! Mobile (http://mobile.yahoo.com).
Over half (52%) of the visitors to these sites are female and the dominant age group visiting them is 35-54 year-olds (48%).
