A new online holiday auction site has been launched at http://www.auctionweekendbreaks.co.uk.
The auctionweekendbreaks.co.uk site invites users to bid for a range of added-value luxury breaks and activities from travel and leisure firms including Le Meridien Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Gleneagles and Thomas Cook.
The breaks are not last-minute offers, but instead feature accommodation in suites or deluxe rooms and a luxury element such as champagne in the room on arrival, personally escorted city tours or spa treatments.
The auctions are sealed-bid, with the winner being the highest bidder for each lot at the end of each month's auction.
To take part in the auctions an entry fee is payable. This can be a one-bid payment of GBP1.50 or GBP5 for a monthly membership and unlimited bids.
