Apple sells 1.5m digital songs in a week

Macintosh developer Apple Computer Corp has announced that 1.5m songs were purchased and downloaded from its iTunes Music Store in the US over the past week.
The company reports that this figure has resulted in more than 17m songs being sold via the online store since its launch in April 2003.
A spokesperson for the company said that Apple has the number one spot in the legally purchased downloads market with a share of over 80%.
