Software company Guildsoft Ltd has announced the launch of its Net Nanny 5 and Net Nanny Chat Monitor in the UK.
Both new offerings are designed to provide PC users with a method of controlling what kinds of content can be accessed via their Internet connection. Guildsoft claims that parents or teachers can use the software products to make sure that no inappropriate content is downloaded to a PC where it could be seen by a child.
Net Nanny 5 provides web filtering and restricts transfers of certain files, images or contact details. Chat Monitor records everything that is said when a child uses a chat or instant messenger programme and notifies the parent or teacher if there is a potentially risky conversation being held.
Each product has been priced at GBP29.95.
