OD2 reaches 1m music downloads milestone

UK-based digital music download service OD2 has announced that it has sold 1m music downloads in the first quarter of 2004.
Sales for the first quarter in 2004 are reportedly double what they were in the final quarter of 2003. Similarly, the number of purchases seen in the first quarter of 2004 was ten times higher than the number of downloads sold in the final quarter of 2002.
OD2 does not operate as an online music store and instead licenses its download service to Internet retailers.
