AOL survey shows stress relief is the main driver for online games

ISP America Online has conducted a survey and found that the majority of adults play online games to relieve stress.
In total, 54% of adults that play online games said that they did so to relieve stress. Other results from the survey showed that 63% of women between the ages of 18 and 39 play online games because they are bored and 25% of teenagers and adults say that playing online games has decreased the time they used to spend watching television.
The survey was carried out by Digital Marketing Services and polled 3,000 people across the US that had played an online game in the past three months.
