Napster achieves 5m download milestone

Online music download service Napster has announced that it has sold 5m songs since it began operating as a legitimate, paid-for service in October 2003.
A spokesperson for the company said that the customer milestone highlights the quality of the music download service. This will reportedly enable the company to generate GBP10.7m in sales for its first year.
Legal music download sites have reportedly gained popularity over the past year.
