UK ISP V Two One has begun offering high speed web and e-mail access without a broadband connection due to a new software download it is supplying.
The ONSPEED software enables Internet users to access online content quicker through a dial-up connection. V Two One claims that the software enables web use at speeds of up to 300% to 500% faster than current dial-up connections while e-mail speed is increased by up to 900%.
A spokesperson for the company said that ONSPEED does not require any additional hardware to be installed, no contract and no waiting for engineers to visit the user's home.
ONSPEED is available as a free 14 day trial. Subsequent pricing has been set at GBP24.99 per year.
