New online music service launched by Sony

Entertainment company Sony has launched a new online music service that lets Internet users download selected tracks from a database of 500,000 songs.
Tracks will be available from a number of major and independent record labels and are sold in ATRAC3 format which will play on Sony's own brand of audio devices.
The Sony online music service was launched with a live performance by Sheryl Crow on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles.
Tracks will cost USD0.99 per download.
