Borders launches UK website with help from Amazon.co.uk

Online bookseller Amazon.co.uk and worldwide bookstore operator Borders Group have launched www.borders.co.uk, the bookstore chain's first UK online store.
The UK has grown to be one Europe's biggest e-commerce markets, which prompted Borders to take the plunge into the UK online market. The move also marks Amazon.co.uk's first outsourcing contract since it signed a similar deal with high street bookseller Waterstone's.
Amazon.co.uk will provide Borders with customer, pricing, handling and shipping services in the same way a similar deal between the two companies' American parents operates, reports Reuters.
