Sprint Canada deploys Lucent and Alpha Telecom joint product

Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) and Alpha Telecom have said that Sprint Canada Inc has deployed its joint voice over broadband product.
According to the companies, Sprint will use the product to provide Internet voice services to residential and small/home business customers on the carrier's local service network throughout Canada.
The product reportedly also supports Sprint Canada's recently launched Internet Phone Service(TM), which offers advanced IP services such as operator services, 911, 411, and 711, as well as call waiting, call display and voice mail from using a regular telephone handset.
No financial details have been provided.
