The UEFA Champions League website http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/ launched yesterday (14 September) Canon FanFoto, which gives amateur photographers and football fans the chance to show and vote for their favourite football images online.
Visitors to the UEFA site can not only see the vast gallery of images, but also choose their favourite picture and send it as an e-card. Every three to four weeks from 13 September to 19 December, ten entrants whose photos have been the most popular e-cards will win a Canon IXUS 500 camera and CP-330printer, a Canon Powershot A85 digital camera and a 6-in-1 memory card-reader and branded Canon/UEFA Champions League 2004/2005 merchandise.
In January 2005 one from the eight most popular photos will be selected by a panel of experts to win the grand prize - two tickets, flights and accommodation for a knock-out stage UEFA Champions League match in 2005.
The Canon FanFoto gallery can be found at http://www.uefa.com/Fanzone/index.html.
