Lycos UK launches new email security system 'Protek-On'

LYCOS UK has launched a new email security system called 'Protek-On' that is able to verify the sender's identity for every mail sent from one of its users. The system provides protection against phishing attacks and blocks messages sent by anyone using a forged e-mail address.
The system combines two programs for checking the legitimacy of an e-mail sender's address 'Domain Key' checking and 'Sender Policy Framework'. The combination of these two programs makes LYCOS UK the first provider to offer both levels of protection to users, according to the company.
