The Communications Management Association (CMA) has announced that the results of its annual communications market survey show that communications suppliers and providers are not delivering quality and value to UK businesses and public services.

The results of the survey - which questioned 339 senior communications professionals working for large UK companies and services - revealed that standards in the fixed, mobile, professional, outsourcing and equipment sectors are not high enough, with businesses saying they were not satisfied with value for money and quality.

The survey also showed that VoIP is set for significant growth in 2005 and three in four businesses are now using DSL services, but 42% said they still cannot get broadband where they need it and that 3G take-up was not high on the agenda. A spokesperson for CMA said that it had been campaigning for better broadband access and was worried that almost half of its members cannot get it where needed.
