Zen Internet, a UK Internet Service Provider, has announced that it has provided support to a Carers Support centre in County Durham by providing free activation of 12 ZenADSL Home 500 broadband accounts for use by some of their carers.
Easington District Carers Support has helped to save funds and provides an important lifeline to home-bound carers, by offering them the chance to learn new IT skills at home to improve their employment prospects and personal development outside their role as a carer.
Zen had provided the centre's office broadband connection the previous year and the company waived the usual GBP50 per account activation fee for the 12 connections, and each user was connected to ZenADSL Home 500, a service aimed at family and home-based users.
