Tiscali UK goes live with new search engine powered by Google

Tiscali UK, an Internet and broadband company, has announced the launch of its new improved search engine in partnership with Google.
The new search engine powered by Google has been specifically designed for Tiscali web site users and is more accurate, has improved usability and familiarity with Google-style functionality to provide Tiscali users with non sponsored natural search links guaranteed to appear on the first page for the first time, according to the company.
The company expects an initial uplift in search use of approximately 20% and continued growth as the improved usability and performance is recognised. The new search application features across the whole Tiscali website which consists of over 30,000 pages of updated information, entertainment and resources.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
