NordicRadio, a Norwegian Internet-based radio station, was reportedly closed down for a short time this week after an employee of the company allegedly set up a phishing scam.
The alleged scam apparently copied a web page from online marketplace eBay, and this was used to obtain victims' credit card numbers and personal details.
eBay filed a complaint about the scam with the FBI, which said that the fraudulent pages were uploaded through the radio station's servers, reports The Register. No evidence has been found to indicate that the station was actively involved in the scam.
The suspect is reportedly no longer working for NordicRadio.
