American Online Inc.'s mobile development program to be joined by Jataayu Software

Jataayu Software, a provider of applications for mobile devices, has announced that it has joined America Online Inc.'s Mobile Developer Program. The programme will enable the company to provide handset manufacturers with a Wireless Village IMPS-based instant messaging client encompassing a branded, full colour version of AOL Instant Messenger and ICQ services.
By joining the programme, the company can provide AIM and ICQ users with a mobile IM experience across multiple carriers, locations and devices and users are able to know in real-time when their friends, relatives, and colleagues are online.
According to TelephonyWorld, the programme also includes an AOL Client Certification Kit with user interface guidelines, branding elements and functional specifications for the mobile AIM and ICQ services; Access to AOL's Gateway server and an expedited AOL review process to speed up the approval of new AIM and ICQ clients for mobile devices.
