From today (14 October) British Airways offers online boarding pass capability on direct international flights from JFK, Newark and Boston airports in the US to London's Heathrow Airport.

According to the airline, this means that UK-bound passengers may print their boarding passes on their own personal computers at home when checking in online, with the option to do so a full 23 hours before their flight departure.

British Airways said that the introduction of the Online Boarding Pass is part of a drive to simplify travel for its customers and to streamline the check-in process and further increase the facilities available to passengers, which already include Online Check-in on the airline's website, ba.com.
