Information security solutions provider Kaspersky Lab has announced that it is supplying its anti-virus technology to UK ISP Telewest Broadband to be used by its consumer internet division, blueyonder.
According to the company, Telewest will be using Kaspersky Lab's anti-virus technology to scan all incoming and outgoing e-mails to protect over 900,000 residential customers from the threat of e-mail-borne viruses.
Telewest selected the anti-virus solution from Kaspersky Lab because of its high detection rate and quick updates to the virus signature databases, said the director of product strategy at Telewest.
