A new hosting solution enabling employees to work remotely and share information across the network has been introduced by WebFusion, the UK webhosting operation of PIPEX Communications Hosting Ltd.
Hosted Exchange from WebFusion allows workers to work from anywhere with an Internet connection, as they would from their desk. It allows files to be shared and enables the standard Microsoft Outlook 2003 features to be accessed from multiple offices, home or laptop PCs or wireless devices such as the Blackberry. It features Microsoft Sharepoint, enabling workspace to be shared for applications such as CRM tools, collaboration and project management and includes spam management.
According to WebFusion, it offers a fully managed service with fast, secure Internet connections, a tier one network infrastructure and data centre security for customers. WebFusion said the product removes the start-up costs often associated with an in-house server and packages start from less than GBP50 per month for five mailboxes.
