Diagonal completes redevelopment of States of Jersey website

Diagonal Solutions, an Enterprise Content Management company, has completed the redevelopment of the States of Jersey website.

The site, http://www.gov.je, is the online tool for Jersey residents to access government resources. According to the company, Diagonal has implemented Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 to consolidate over 30 departmental websites into one and to give over 120 web authors within the States of Jersey the ability to create and publish web content. The website now provides a single interface to facilitate access to information about States of Jersey services.

In addition, Diagonal Solutions designed a metadata and categorisation strategy that adhered to government guidelines. The metadata was reportedly built around the eGovernment Metadata Standard (EGMS), while categorisation was defined according to the Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary (IPSV).

No financial details were disclosed.
