NASA's Digital Learning Network (DLN) and NASA's Explorer School programme are teaming up to host an 'STS-118 Relay Rally', a virtual tour of NASA's ten field centres.

On 19 and 20 April, several NASA centres, along with an Explorer School from each of their regions, will interact with Educator Astronaut Joe Acaba, questioning him about astronaut training, shuttle missions and other points of interest.

Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, along with NASA Explorer School Woodbury Junior/Senior High School in Woodbury, USA, will be featured on 19 April. All videoconferenced participants will reportedly be able to interact with the other centres and Acaba. Even though only the school participants will be able to ask questions each day, the event will be webcast live, so students across the US will be able to watch.

The centres featured during the 19 April event are to include Johnson Space Center in Houston; Langley Research Center in Hampton; Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt; Glenn Research Center in Cleveland; Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral; and Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.

The live webcast will be available at http://nasadln.nmsu.edu/dln.> ((Comments on this story may be sent to info@m2.com))
