SAVVIS Inc to provide Reuters.com with hosting and infrastructure services

SAVVIS Inc (NASDAQ:SVVS), which provides IT infrastructure services, reported today (2 April) that it has been employed to provide all the hosting and IT infrastructure requirements for the underlying platform for Reuters.com (http://www.reuters.com), a news and financial information source.
SAVVIS, which will be providing services to Reuters for the next five years, has migrated Reuters' flagship website to its virtualised utility computing and utility storage infrastructure.
The company will be providing improved reliability to Reuters and will allow the Reuters.com website to scale easily as site traffic increases. Reuters' website is currently used by over 17m people each month.
No financial terms of the agreement were disclosed.
