Huawei delivers All IP Broadband Networks for SingTel

All IP Broadband Networks have been delivered for SingTel 'Generation mio' Multiplay Services from SingTel, a communications group based in Asia, by Huawei Technologies Co Ltd (Huawei), a provider of next-generation telecomms network solutions.

Huawei said its core router NE80E, NE5000E and large-capacity IP DSLAM SmartAX MA5600 were selected as the core equipment for SingTel's E2E broadband network. It claimed the equipment will help SingTel to better deploy its Generation mio services and allow subscribers in Singapore to benefit from a broad range of multi-play services.

SingTel's Generation mio services provide new telecomms services which integrate multi-play services such as voice, broadband, mobile service and IPTV. The company, which introduced its mio TV, paid digital IPTV service, in July, allows viewers to watch TV programmes at their preferred time.

According to Huawei, it has constructed the operator's E2E IP bearer networks and will continue to help SingTel in the deployment and operation of Generation mio services.
