Motorola announces seven new W Series handsets

Wireless and broadband company Motorola Inc (NYSE:MOT) has announced seven new W Series handsets: the W156, W160, W175, W180, W206, W213 and W377, which are intended to provide high-tier style at an affordable price point.

The W377 offers high quality sound with an integrated VGA camera and FM radio, MP3 ringtones, Bluetooth wireless technology and pre-loaded games, one touch SMS2, speakerphone, 10MB of user memory, calendar and alarm clock.

The W206 and W213 ultra-thin candybar style phones offer CrystalTalk Technology, phone book for up to 500 entries, SMS storage for up to 500 messages, MP3 ringtones, WAP/GPRS and pre-loaded games and the W213 includes an FM radio.

The W175 and W180 candybar style handsets include CrystalTalk Technology, SMS and iTAP predictive text entry and internal phone book for up to 500 numbers and the W180 includes an FM radio.

The W156 and W160 ultra-thin include CrystalTalk Technology, ten pre-loaded 32 channel polyphonic ringtones and 15 standard alert ringtones, intuitive user interface and large display and the W160 incorporates an FM radio.

The handsets are aimed at consumers purchasing their first mobile phone, those who want a simple phone to talk and message on and those who are looking to upgrade a basic handset.
