New eShop packages introduced by 1&1

1&1 Internet, a web host and European domain name registrar, introduced on Monday (10 September) a new line of eShop packages.

According to the company, the 1&1 eShop package is a stand-alone ecommerce solution that can be added to any website. The website pages can be built using the template-driven web builder provided. Product lines and individual items for retail are posted quickly using a drag-and-drop interface, and the solutions deliver secure online payment clearing via PayPal, Protx and WorldPay and can handle variable currencies.

The product's eBay integration feature allows users to submit items to eBay auctions with nearly every eBay feature available. 1&1 eShop users benefit from no charge payable for 1&1's eBay time scheduling. In addition, up to three images per item may be submitted to eBay with no charge, and eBay shoppers may buy multiple items from a 1&1 customer eShop without additional eBay fees for the merchant, the company said.

The product range features: advanced stock management and order management functionality; customer management functionality and customer groups; over 100 design templates; export to multiple product search engines; advanced discount tools; bulk price / special offer and % discount features; 1&1 marketing tools; SimpleSubmission and AdLink Banner Advertising; as well as selected 1&1 hosting features.

In addition, beginning on Monday (10 September) 1&1's UK hosting customers enjoy free ecommerce functionality with a basic level EasyShop added to all Linux web hosting plans.

The 1&1 eShop range includes the Home eShop priced at GBP4.99 a month +VAT (500MB web space & 20GB traffic); Business eShop priced at GBP9.99 a month +VAT (1GB web space & 40GB traffic); Business Pro eShop priced at GBP24.99 a month +VAT (2GB web space & 100GB traffic) and Professional eShop priced at GBP44.99 a month +VAT (5GB web space & 200GB traffic).
