RedDot helps Yorkshire Tourist Board to enhance website

Internet Business News,  May 14, 2008

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The official tourist information website of the Yorkshire Tourist Board (YTB), the official tourism marketing agency for the Yorkshire and the Humber region supported by the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, has been enhanced with the help of RedDot, an Open Text Web Solutions Group, and web integration partner CDS Leeds.

YTB said its website, which can be found at http://www.yorkshire.com, now offers visitors clear navigation and an online experience intended to match their offline experiences of the Yorkshire brand.

YTB's branding and campaigns teams can now use RedDot's CMS and LiveServer web content management products to access, control and edit online content.

According to YTB, it can now manage its website internally, from the news and features section through to the micro-sites hanging off the main site. It claimed the incorporation of RedDot's web content management system enables more staff to gain access to the site.

RedDot confirmed its web content management solutions are suitable when there are multiple editors without a web development background, wishing to publish content.
