Verizon expands availability of HSI service in Pennsylvania

US telecoms operator Verizon Communications announced Tuesday that it has expanded the availability of its High Speed Internet service in Pennsylvania with an additional 232,000 households now able to access the service.
The company said that the service, offering speeds of up to 7.1Mb/s, is now available to more than 1 million households in the state.
Verizon is offering new voice customers who sign up to a one year contract including the HSI service are being offered an incentive in the form of a free Compaq Mini notebook (valued at USD299.99) or Flip Ultra Camcorder (valued at USD149.99).
If customers sign up to a non-bundled HSI service with a two year contract, Verizon offers a lifetime price guarantee. The service costs USD17.99/month for speeds up to 1Mb/s/384kb/s, USD29.99 for up to 3Mb/s/768kb/s or USD39.99 for the 7.1Mb/s/768kb/s service.
