This weekly news magazine published by the American Chemical Society (ACS) is now available online in full text. Founded in 1923, 'Chemical & Engineering News' marked its 75th anniversary this year. Unlimited free access to the online edition is available for the remainder of 1998 at: http://pubs.acs.org/cen Online subscriptions after that period will be an additional $15 for ACS members and $18 for non-members who currently subscribe to the print edition.

C&EN is the most quoted chemical publication in the world and was recently ranked 293 in the top 500 magazines in the U.S. by 'Folio Magazine' on the basis of revenues. With 150,000 subscribers, C&EN has the largest readership of all weekly magazines for chemists. It publishes 2,600 editorial pages per year covering the latest in news, features, business, government and technology related to chemistry and the chemical industry. The magazine is international in scope, with news bureaus in Hong Kong and London. -- The electronic edition of C&EN will feature the magazine's entire editorial content with links to sources referenced or quoted within the articles, as well as links to full text articles of ACS journals, government documents, and government agency sites. -- A searchable archive of past issues (beginning with the August 24, 1998 issue) will also be available.
