Ncr Signs Licensing, Development & Sales Pact With Veritas

VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS), the industry's leading enterprise-class application storage management software provider, has signed a licensing, development and sales agreement with NCR Corporation, a recognized world leader in data warehouse solutions, to provide enterprise-class backup capabilities for customers using both MP-RAS (UNIX) and Windows NT.
VERITAS NetBackup(TM) will be offered by NCR as the first integrated backup solution under its new Open Teradata Backup program. The combination of VERITAS NetBackup's reliable performance and centralized administration and scalability with Teradata's powerful data warehousing will allow an expanding number of users to maximize their investment in Teradata by ensuring their critical data is always available.
