Playboy.com, the Web extension of Playboy magazine, may have as many as 40 new openings if the site goes public as planned, says Gerry Nobile, Playboy's director of human resources. The opportunities, split between the company's New York and Chicago offices, will include technical, marketing, content and sales positions. The company also continues to look for qualified individuals for its product marketing and pay television divisions.

Regardless of job title, Nobile says she looks first and foremost for candidates who understand the magazine and have a passion for the business. She describes her ideal candidate as "Someone who is able to reach beyond a narrow job description and think more streategically. For someone coming out of school, I want to see writing samples, a good solid understanding of the ever-changing market dynamics, and an eye on technology. That, along with good communication skills, good presentation skills, to me, makes a good package."
