Experian (Schaumburg, IL) and MeritDirect (White Plains, NY) have partnered to launch b2bBase, a cooperative database for B-to-B direct marketers. The database includes 11 participants contributing up to 60 months of transactional data, and has 11 million records to date. b2bBase contains transactional data from all participants, including data from Experian's National Business Database, which has verified information on 16 million U.S. businesses. (Plainsboro, NJ) has joined forces with Internet search optimization firm Origami Media (Costa Mesa, CA) to offer Pay Per Click management services through Kroll, which allows online marketers the ability to buy "placement" on the major search engine portals using keywords that best describe their product or service. Origami Media improves major search engine rankings by optimizing site content and re-listing sites with major search engines.
