Advanstar's Heid Named 2003 Arv Honoree

Francis Heid, VP, Publishing Operations for Advanstar Communications, has been named this year's recipient of the Angelo R. Venezian award from the National Trade Circulation Foundation Inc. The award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding career contributions to the business-to-business circulation profession. This year's award dinner is scheduled for May 13 in New York City.

Since joining Advanstar in 1987, Heid has held a variety of circulation management positions, serving most recently as corporate circulation director. In 1999 and 2000, he received Advanstar's Chairman's Award, honoring his accomplishments. Advanstar produces 105 publications and directories as well as 80 trade shows and conferences.

Heid, a member of BPA International's Board of Directors, earned a Master's degree in English literature from Columbia University and completed an Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Northwestern University.
