Time Inc.'s Life will relaunch for the fourth time beginning in October as a free weekend magazine, inserted weekly in over 50 daily newspapers' Friday editions. It will have a circulation of 12 million.

* FOLDING

Beckett Sports Collectible Magazine ceased publication as of its June issue. The title catered to collectors of older sports memorabilia.

* BRAND EXTENSIONS

Meredith's Ladies' Home Journal has partnered with Premier Retail Networks Corporation to provide fashion tips for the Wal-Mart Television Network. The new programming began airing in April. Wal-Mart TV is satellite-delivered to 2,621 Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart Supercenter locations. PRN will produce the seasonal fashion segments, which will feature LHJ editors providing the latest style tips...Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Technology Review will publish a Dutch version in partnership with Veen Magazines. It has a circulation of 30,000 and launched in June...Advanstar Communications has announced the introduction of the Off-Road Impact Trade Show, which will premiere at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 20-22, 2005...National Geographic Kids has introduced international editions of the title this spring in Latin America and South Africa. Polish, Serbian, Croatian and Dutch versions will follow in the fall...Taunton Press' Inspired House and Benjamin Moore, a paint manufacturer, partnered for a national sweepstakes promotion, "Inspired by the Perfect Color." The contest will run through August 31 in more than 2,000 Benjamin Moore stores, where customers who purchase paint are offered a risk-free issue of either Inspired House or Fine Homebuilding via mail-in certificates.
