SNAP is a single-channel device that transforms a Handspring Visor handheld PDA into an EEG-monitoring tool for real-time tracking of anesthesia's effect on brain activity during surgery. Using both the low-and high-frequency components of an EEG signal, it displays a patient's brain activity level in a time-based trend for improved care.
