Ensure The Right Temperature
Store Equipment & Design, Nov, 2000
Monitor hot and cold holding, reheating, cooling and storage temperatures instantly in steam tables, warming ovens, freezers, display cases and coolers with the new Raytek MiniTemp-Food Safety (FS) non-contact infrared thermometer. In the back of the store, save time and money by using this pocket-sized thermometer to detect hot spots or leaks in freezers, walk-in coolers, refrigeration lines, compressor motors and electrical and HVAC equipment.
"With a temperature range of -25 to 400-degrees F, the MiniTemp FS meets most food applications and it's such a versatile tool it can be used for preventive maintenance too," says Jim Musbach of Rayteck. In addition, the MiniTemp FS features 1 percent accuracy within the critical food safety temperature zone, a distance to spot ratio of 4:1, allowing the user to measure a 1- to 2-inch diameter spot when working 4 to 8 inches from the intended target and calibration of .97 emissivity for greater food measurement accuracy.
