The patent-pending Auto Vent system from Muckler Industries/K-TECH puts the control of the exhaust system at the cooking line-up, instead of operating at a constant volume regardless of cooking load. When appliances are energized, the exhaust fan automatically adjusts to properly ventilate the cooking by-product without overventing.

As equipment is de-energized, the system automatically adjusts to the lower volume requirements, potentially saving thousands of dollars a year in energy costs, according to the company.
