No late winter blahs at SE&D: new look and new Web site

Store Equipment & Design, March, 2000

The new design look you see in this issue is only half the story about the changes under way at Store Equipment & Design. Even more important is the debut this month of our new Web site, which you can find at www.storequip.com.

Putting the Buyer's Guide online is something many of our readers have been asking us to do for several years, and we are proud to offer you the convenience of the most extensive database of equipment suppliers to the retail industry available anywhere on the Internet.

When you log onto the site, you will find, in addition to selected articles from our March issue and other features, online versions of the Equipment Buyer's Guide (renamed the Equipment Resource Guide) and the Design Directory, which we published in print in February.

As online sourcing of equipment becomes increasingly important, we believe our Web site will provide a convenient starting point for retailers who are researching hundreds of different kinds of store-based equipment and services.

We will continue to expand the supplier and design firm databases this year, and will be adding additional services in coming months to speed up the equipment sourcing process and make it more productive for retailers.

What those additional services will be depends in large part on you--our retail readers--and what you want from us. Our goal is to make the SE&D Web site as useful and convenient as you need it to be, and for that, we need to hear from you. We also want to hear from equipment suppliers and store design firms. In fact, if your company is not now included in the Equipment Resource Guide (or the Store Design databases, if appropriate), then let us know. There is a place on our Web site for you to fill in the listing information requested, or you can contact me directly either by phone, fax or e-mail.
