Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedFocus on future drives TBS: staying ahead of the market created 23 years of success for TBS in temperature control and building automation. Most recently, it led to a U-turn on service and maintenance, affiliation with a key union-contractor team , and TABB certification

That need, Jannicelli says, "is a catalyst for our company. And TABB fits in on both ends of a performance contract.
"With TABB, we can come in at the front end--and look at the building. In the beginning of tackling a building, a performance contractor wants us to go in and analyze the building for them."
TABB is sponsored by SMWIA and SMACNA. In just three years of active marketing, TABB has found its way into the specs of the Army Corps of Engineers, Intel, many other customers, as well as MasterSpec.
"They need in to help them prepare their study, and we get the information for them," Jannicelli says. "TABB provides us with the ability, and the certifications--from an analytical point-of-view--to get the data for the performance contractors that they need.

"Later, of course, after the job is done, we come back in and help finish the job. We're able to help resolve any balancing problems."
