GeoScopix Inc. said that the University of Florida's Gator, a stereoscopic, GPS-based digital geographic data manager, should be commercially available later this year. The Gator, developed and patented by the University of Florida, uses GPS technology to give accurate camera location, measuring the distance and size of an object relative to the user without bouncing laser or radar.
