Septentrio has first Galileo receiver

GPS World, Dec, 2004

Septentrio Satellite Navigation of Leuven, Belgium recently delivered the first Galileo receiver to the European Space Agency (ESA) as part of the C0 phase of the Galileo Test User Segment. Capable of tracking any Galileo signal as well as new modulations such as BOC(m,n) and AltBOC, the Septentrio GPS/GNSS technology identifies and exploits the commonality between different signal types, and features an upgradeable design to accommodate next-generation multichannel GPS/GNSS receivers.

Septentrio also has developed real-time attitude firmware for its PolaRX2@ (PolaRX2@ Attitude), a single-board, dual-frequency OEM receiver that can be connected to up to three parallel antennas. PolaRX2@provides precise heading, pitch and roll, and position and velocity updates at 10 Hz. The device's RxControl graphical user interface eases antenna calibration and offers visualization options for attitude data. PolaRX2@ is designed for marine survey, compass calibration, dredging, airborne photogrammetry, and machine guidance solutions in agriculture and construction.
