Andrew antennas, Maxrad move

GPS World, Dec, 2004

PCTEL of Chicago, Illinois has agreed to pay $10 million to acquire selected assets of Andrew Corporation's mobile antenna business for expansion of PCTEL's Maxrad Product Group, a producer of GPS antennas. In January 2004, PCTEL invested $20 million to acquire Maxrad from Andrew Corporation, and plans to strengthen its position in high-growth wireless communications markets.

With the acquisition of the selected Andrew antenna assets, PCTEL expects to record more than $40 million in antenna-related revenue in 2005. Products include Andrew's Micropulse GPS antennas, Antenna Specialists professional antennas, and legacy Antenna Company mobile products.
