Audio/video location tracking system

GPS World, Dec, 2004

DigiEye and DigiEye Lite networked management systems from SYAC combine GPS location with digital audio and video recording to provide a complete asset tracking record and history. In the event of external alarms or alarms generated by its built-in motion detector, DigiEye records real-time video/audio on its hard disk or compact flash card. It can be interfaced with a GPS receiver using an available serial line. The GPS data, including longitude, latitude, altitude, and speed, are stored with every image and updated every second. The GPS data is available with the streaming live video, so the user can see the data at anytime; this information is also viewable during the playback of recorded sequences. The operator can check status of audio, video and alarms, move PTZ/Dome cameras, activate external devices, or playback recorded sequences directly from the DigiEye hard disk, DigiEye is designed for security installations from small sites to large systems such as airports, financial institutions, hospitals, educational facilities and industrial complexes.
